Once you get them the instruction say Nicad batteries, not just AAA, so I hope that Li Batteries are not a problem. long term. Also the battery retaining clip inside looks a bit fragile. Also to mount securely to the 1" stainless-steel bow pulpit of your boat, or the pushpit, you need a secure railing attachment . The RAILBLAZA system is ideal but they have different pattern in the base so you have to order an additional $16 attachment from RAILBLAZA to fit the Go-Pro type base on the bottom of the Navisafe light.Lights are very bright works greatAdded a trolling motor to my boat which blocks out the port nav light, found this as a solution. Light was perfect. Looks very well made. Thanks for the great service!I install my light on my old town big water 132 PDL Kajak looks and functions greatThe only reason I can give this 4 stars is because it is very well made and does its job perfectly. Due to the listing showing multiple lights in every part of the listing I too was expecting two lights as other reviewers have mentioned, especially for the cost. Also, though the listing is clear that batteries are required, at this price point it should have rechargeable batteries. I’d like to rate this one or two stars based on the misleading listing and the exorbitant price, but I feel compelled to rate the device more fairly for the way it performs, which is flawless.I really like this NaviSafe navigation light, it is a very well built unit. However, from the pictures and the description, I thought I was getting 2 lights. So when one light arrived I had a very sour taste in my mouth. I am on the Vine Program and I received this light for free to review it, and I almost didn't get it because of the price. So I divided the price by two because I thought I was getting two lights, and reasoned that it was a somewhat fair price, and decided to give it a try. In the description it says, "...boat lights/portable navigation lights" plural, in the opening picture they show 2 lights (plural). I could see the value in getting 2 of these lights for what they are asking, but for one light this is way over priced. The light does have a very strong build, the 16 LEDs are very bright and very noticeable when out on the water whether during the day or night. Yes, I understand it has 5 navigational light modes, but so do the majority of flashlights that are out on the market right now. I understand that this light is for boats and it is submersible up to 66 feet, it floats, it's corrosion resistant, and it is marine grade. Yet, it just does not justify the asking price and leading people to believe that you are getting two lights. Don't get me wrong, this is a great light but I just don't see the value. I just want you to be aware that you will only be getting one light. I needed two of these lights but I am not willing to buy another one at the current asking price, no way no how!I like that this light has lots of options for how it's used. I mostly use it as a stern light with only backward facing LEDs but I do turn it on for all around when I'm anchored. At first I was disappointed this wasn't rechargeable. For the price it seems that would be a given. However, having spare AAA batteries on hand is easier than fighting with a USB battery pack while at sea. These Navilights are fantastic. They are light weight, relatively small in size and very powerful. They meet Coast Guard criteria to be used as nav lights. They float are water proof and are visible for up to two nautical miles. Although I wouldn't use them as a matter of routine, they do an excellent job and are invaluable as a back-up. Also as a nav-light source for a kayak or dinghy they are excellent. I have wanted one of these for several years now and am very pleased to have one now.
